About the Manuscript
Terms and Conditions for Manuscript Replacement and Cancelation
Ulatus has a simple policy regarding manuscript replacement and cancelation. This provision minimizes the risk of incorrectly interpreting or correcting a manuscript. The terms and conditions for the exchange and cancelation of manuscripts are as follows:
Rules for Manuscript Exchange
- Requests for manuscript replacement after the translation has commenced will not be accepted.
- We will only accept requests for manuscript replacement if we receive a completely incorrect manuscript.
- Within one hour of signing the contract, we will accept your request for manuscript replacement free of charge.
- Requests to exchange manuscripts more than one hour after the contract has been signed will be considered a cancelation of the contract. Please refer to the next section for cancelation policy.
- We assume no responsibility for any changes or modifications made to the deliverables by the client after receipt of the deliverables.
Cancelation Policy
Translation
- Cancelations will only be accepted if the customer sends the wrong manuscript by what Ulatus judges as a genuine error.
- Cancelations are only accepted before delivery.
- A cancelation fee will be charged if the incorrect manuscript is canceled and the correct manuscript is translated.
- If the client does not wish to cancel the contract after translating an incorrect document, we will consider the translation of the correct document as a new contract. Cancelation fee will be 50% of the contracted invoice amount. We will inform you of the exact fee after we receive your cancelation request e-mail.

Rules on rescheduling and canceling interpreting services
- Any change of the requested interpretation date and time due to the customer's personal reasons will be considered as a cancelation of the interpretation, and the following cancelation fees will be charged.
- Cancelation up to 21 days from the date of interpretation: not required
- Cancelation within 15 to 20 days from the date of interpretation: 20% of the invoice amount
- Cancelation within 7 to 14 days from the date of interpretation: 30% of the invoice amount
- Cancelation up to 6-3 days from the date of interpretation: 50% of the invoice amount
- Cancelation up to the day before, the day before, or the day of the interpretation: 100% of the invoiced amount
Provisions for layout instructions (guidelines)
The customer is responsible for the usefulness of the guidelines for layout adjustments. In the unlikely event that a guideline submitted by a customer is not valid, we will not inform the customer. If the URL requires a login, please promptly provide us with the information necessary to log in.
Delivery Regulations
We strive to deliver the manuscript to you sooner than the agreed delivery time. If you have not received the translation, check your spam and junk folders or contact us immediately.
Regulations on the arrangements of translators
A contract is considered to be concluded when we receive a written, e-mailed, or oral request, and only after the contract is concluded will we begin arranging for the work to be performed by the translator and other workers. We will arrange for a specialist in the field most suited to your manuscript to work on your manuscript.
If we are unable to provide a translator of your choice, we will assign another translator suitable for your manuscript to ensure the quality of the delivered document.
About Interpreters
Extended interpretation
We do not accept extensions to the agreed interpretation time, so estimate your buffer time accordingly. If an extension is unavoidable, it can only be made possible depending on the interpreter’s schedule. For all extentions, the service will be extended in one-hour increments, and a surcharge will be applied separately.
Prior arrangement
If a prior meeting is required for interpretation, transportation and time will be charged separately.

Personal Information of Interpreters
We prohibit asking for personal information or suspicious behavior (asking for contact information, exchanging business cards, etc.) with the interpreter. Interpreters also understand that they are prohibited from sharing personal information to clients. If you contact the interpreter directly and request an interpreter, etc., we will charge you a penalty fee.
About Site Creation
Copyrights for Site Creation
At the time of the request for site production, the copyright of the design of the site production belongs to our company until the invoice amount is paid and the delivery of the site is officially completed. Unauthorized use or diversion of the design before the formal delivery is prohibited. If you misuse the design, we will charge you for the damages. Once the delivery is officially made, the copyright is transferred to the customer.
Guarantee of site operation
Although we guarantee that the site produced at the time of site creation will work as expected, we make no commitments as to the layout or operation of the site if the customer directly makes any changes or modifications to the delivered site data. Any changes or modifications after delivery will be made at your own risk.
Delivered data
We do not deliver Raw data (Photoshop format files, Illustrator format files, etc.) created by our company at the time of site production. The data to be delivered will be the data (HTML files, accompanying JPG images, Flash, etc.) necessary for the site to be published.
Add or change content
If you require to add or change content, we will prepare a new quote.
Cancelation of site creation
In case of cancelation due to the customer's own reason, the customer will be charged an amount according to the progress of the project.
About Fees
Rules for Quotations
Once the customer approves the estimate, a formal contract is signed. From that point forward, the customer is obligated to pay the fee, regardless of whether the customer is dissatisfied with the fee.
If it is difficult to fulfill all the requirements indicated on the estimate form, we will extend the desired delivery time and prepare an estimate that meets your requirements as much as possible. When reviewing your estimate, please check all items carefully.
Consent to Change in Work Content
We are not always able to respond to requests submitted by our clients via the form. For example, we may be unable to coordinate with a translator, and may have to provide a later deadline than requested, and we will discuss any such changes to the work with the client via e-mail or phone. If you do not agree to the change, please notify us immediately. Delayed communication from the customer may make it difficult to correct the work. In addition, the customer is obligated to pay the fee even if the customer disapproves of changes to the work after it has been delivered.
Payment Policy
- In principle, we ask our clients to pay the fee in advance for using our services, but in some cases as a gesture of goodwill, we may agree to start the project before the advance payment is made
In such cases, we will either not deliver the manuscript until we confirm receipt of the fee, or we will deliver a portion of the manuscript and the complete manuscript will be delivered after we confirm receipt of the fee.
If you have a reason for not cooperating with prepayment, please contact us. We will review the reasons and discuss them with you individually.
- For any refund that is agreed between Ulatus and customer, this will be processed by our payments department.
-The refund will only be done to the bank/gateway through which the payment is received.
-The refund cannot be done to any 3rd party.
-The refund can take around 7-10 business days.
- If you have any questions about the quality of the product during your inspection after delivery, please contact customer service department. Our quality inspection team will inspect the manuscript and if any defects are found, we will propose a discounted price. Please let us know about any feedback on the quality within 6 months of the delivery date.
Trial Policy
Ulatus provides free trials to customers who wish to test the quality of our work before placing a final order. The customer is obliged to provide a genuine feedback about the trial within 2 months of its delivery.
In case there is no response on the free trial, Ulatus reserves the right to charge the customer the standard translation fee according to the service offered in the trial.

If your email address does not work and we receive an error email, we will do our best, but we will not be responsible for any delays in delivery. If such a situation arises and the translation is not received by the due date, the client must contact us to receive the translation.
About the Legal Specifications
Duty of confidentiality
- We consider all information about our customers to be confidential. The following steps are taken to ensure that only authorized persons have access to the information
- Firewalls and anti-virus programs are in place to prevent third parties from accessing information via the Internet.
- Only those who communicate with the customer and those who actually perform the work have access to the customer information.
- All of our employees and all of our partners have signed a confidentiality agreement. We will never provide information to outside parties unless we have your permission to do so.
- We will not disclose confidential information except as required by law or authorities. We will contact you and request your prior permission before disclosing any information, even if required by law or by authorities.
- We will comply with the above confidentiality policy for all requests. If the client wishes to sign a confidentiality agreement, we will sign and submit the necessary documents.
Limitation of Liability
In the event of termination of the Agreement by you, Ulatus shall not be liable for any damages, including any direct, incidental, or consequential damages, arising out of such terminations.
The term "Ulatus" shall include all of our divisions, subsidiaries, auditors, agents, third parties and information sources.
Although we take every precaution to ensure the safe transmission of manuscripts, we assume no responsibility for any unforeseen circumstances that may prevent safe transmission, such as hardware or software malfunction, computer viruses, natural disasters, or power supply disruptions. The customer is responsible for preparing a replacement manuscript in advance.
The client shall inspect the deliverables delivered by the Company without delay after receipt, and shall notify the Company of any defects in the deliverables, such as errors in translation, within six months of receipt of the deliverables.
If the client fails to give the notice in the preceding paragraph within 6 months after receipt of the deliverables, or if the client uses the deliverables for printing, binding, web publishing, etc., the deliverables shall be deemed to have passed the client's inspection.
Even if, notwithstanding the inspection in the preceding paragraph, a defect is found in the deliverables after the completion of delivery of the deliverables and the client suffers damages due to such defect, the amount of compensation for damages to be borne by the Company shall not exceed the consignment amount charged to the client by the Company.
Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed by and to be construed in accordance with the Indian laws. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Mumbai courts.
Provisions on Intellectual Property Ownership
Neither Ulatus nor any of its employees will make any claim to any manuscript sent for translation. We accept that all manuscripts are the product of the intellectual activity of the authors. The translator and proofreader have signed a confidentiality agreement and pledge not to make any claims on all manuscripts. You are the copyright agent for any third-party works cited in the manuscript. In other words, when you use a third party's copyrighted work in your manuscript, it is up to you to decide whether or not to obtain permission to use the third party's work, and we assume no responsibility for the third party's copyright. You must also agree that your manuscript does not contain any of the following that infringes copyrights, is unlawful, contains sexually explicit material, threats or abusive behavior, slurs or harassment, or racial or ethnic discrimination. or may damage our image or business reputation and cause us to exercise restrictions on its use.
Terms and Conditions for Notification of Service Modifications and Improvements
Ulatus reserves the right to modify or improve these terms and conditions of service without prior notice. These modifications and improvements will affect your use of the site from the date of their implementation. Your use of the Website after notification of such modifications and improvements shall be deemed to constitute your approval of such modifications and improvements.
Terms and Conditions for Deletion of Records
Ulatus secures the right to retain your manuscripts in accordance with these internal policies and Indian laws. In the unlikely event that you wish to remove your manuscript record or usage history from our system, please send us an email with your request.

Ulatus, the translation division of Crimson Interactive, offers mainly 3 levels of translation plans with different translation accuracy. From the highest level, there is TEP (Translation, Editing & Proofreading), TE (Translation + Editing), and the lowest level, MTPE (Machine translation + Post Editing).
